This Christmas thinking what to explore in this pandemic era that is kid friendly too? Visit Magic of Lights in Holmdel, New Jersey.
Last year in 2020, in desperate pandemic-era we visited Magic of lights drive thru around the Christmas season in December. It’s an end to end drive thru experience. You will not be required to get out of the car. From getting inside to touring the entire way out. That’s the best part when you don’t want to be in contact and experience the cold weather.
Where to visit?

What to expect?
Magic of Lights is an outdoor experience with millions of LED lights put in amazing patterns. They have a large loop with multiple concepts of animals, castles in different shapes and sizes. The most impressive one was the tunnel. They have one tunnel of lights completely covered with LED’s. We were in complete awe of the experience. To enhance the experience, tune into the Christmas music radio frequency. It’s 10-15 minutes tour depending upon the traffic and the cars in queue. I wish it was a bit longer. Bring in some snacks during driving thru, a great experience for some Christmas vibe indeed.

It’s all Christmassy inside the park. Enjoy the bling and dancing colorful characters all along!

Where to book tickets?
It’s priced at $25 per vehicle for weekdays. If you are planning to go on weekends, it’s $30 per vehicle. We visited on a weekday around 8:00 p.m. , to our surprise it was very crowded with so many cars in queue. Always try to purchase the tickets online in advance to avoid the long wait times.
Tip: Choose weekdays but odd timings like before 8:00 p.m. or so.
